There is NO regular Club meeting on September 1st

Miles' Memo…

“Our meeting for September 1st has been cancelled as our club will be involved in a BBQ for several hundred students and parents at Glenbow Elementary School at noon on September first. The Rotary Club of Cochrane has a busy calendar in August and early September, as we served lunch for 70 plus residents at Big Hill Lodge on August 12th; we will did a highway clean up on August 25th; we are presenting the Outhouse Races on August 30th; and lastly, our club has been given the honour of Parade Marshal for the Town of Cochrane's annual Labour Day Parade on September 7th.”

Fellowship afterwards at the Rockyview Hotel.

Errata:

During our August 18th Club meeting, District 5360 Assistant District Governor Susan Carpenter-Parnell addressed our Club and thanked the membership for their many important contributions to our community and beyond. 

RIP, dear Dolly Parton.  While she was well known for her talents as a songwriter, singer, and actress, she was also a philanthropist who made childhood literacy a major part of her life's work through her Imagination Library, which ensured millions of young children worldwide had access to books.
