β€œEvery single day we make an impact on the world, and we have a choice as to what kind of impact we’re going to make.” – Jane Goodall

A pioneering scientist, conservationist, and United Nations Messenger of Peace, Dr. Goodall inspired generations to care for people, animals, and the environment. She was supportive of our work to #EndPolio and joined Rotary's This Close campaign.

Her legacy serves as a guide to building a more peaceful and sustainable future.

Thank you for all you taught us, Jane πŸ’›

Oh Canada!

September 30 was
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as #OrangeShirtDay.

This day honours the children who never came home from residential schools, the survivors, and their families. It’s a time to reflect on the truth of our shared history and the ongoing work of reconciliation.

Meeting Notes -September 30th

Oscar Lizcano, our Outbound Rotary International Student from Cochrane, shared his thoughts and some of the highlights from his year in Brazil.

Oscar thanked our Rotary Club of Cochrane for supporting him and giving him this life-changing learning opportunity!
Welcome Alison Robb!
We are SO PLEASED to have you join our Club!

Sue formally inducted Alison into our club.

Inaugural Mayoral Forum

Martin Parnell will chair this meeting and serve as the moderator.

We have 3 candidates participating in the Forum: The incumbent, Jeff Genung, as well as Morgan Nagel and Tony Archer. The 4th candidate declined to participate.

Each candidate will be allowed 4 minutes for opening comments followed by a Q & A session where Rotarians and guests will be allowed to pose questions to the candidates.  We will have a roving mic for this so that all present can hear the question.  Each candidate will be provided the opportunity to respond to the question.

Following the Q & A session, each candidate will be provided 3 minutes for closing statements.

There will be a timer to ensure that the candidates keep their opening and closing statements to the time allowed.

We ask that Rotarians and guests refrain from making political statements and make their questions as short and succinct as possible.

It would be great if we had a good turnout for this event and we encourage you to invite a guest or two.

As time will be limited there will be no Rotary announcements during the meeting.

MTA 18 is here!
