Sue Carpenter-Parnell -On the role of the Assistant District-Governor

This role involves being a communicator and liaison between the local clubs and our Rotary District.

An important message from Leslie:

Hello fellow Rotarians.

As you know, it takes a village, and it also takes many hands to make light work.  Our meetings do not run on luck, we need volunteers in order for the meetings to run smoothly.

For the 2025-26 Rotary year there are over 150 volunteer slots for meeting duties.

They include Set/up and Takedown, Attendance, Sergeant, an Audio/Visual
Set/up and Takedown is “grunt work”, but so necessary to the success of our meetings.

Attendance taking is the best way to put names and faces together, this is especially valuable for new members.

Sergeant duties are fun and rewarding.

A/V duties require a bit of training, but can you imagine not having O’Canada at the beginning of the meeting, or no microphone for a speaker!

Duties are assigned by the month with the exception of Sergeant.

We need your help with:

Set/up and takedown: February, March, April, May and June.

Attendance: April, May, and June.

Sergeant-at-Arms:  January 13th, February 10th, March 10th, April 14th, May 12, and June 9th.  These are the second Tuesday of the month.

Audio/Visual: September, November, December, January, February, March, April, May and June.
