October 7th Meeting Recap

Dr. Lori Montgomery
a pain clinician at the University of Calgary and the Calgary Chronic Pain Centre, shared the latest findings about pain and pain management.  Pain is meant to protect us, but when the brain gets overprotective, it can result in chronic pain.  Research has proven that we can 'Train the brain to cause less pain' using a variety of techniques.
A great discussion with many questions followed her presentation.
Denise
Anita
Leslie
Denise shared volunteer and booth opportunities that are available at the international 2025 RI Convention in Calgary.  Please contact her for more details.

Anita clarified that the October 22 evening meeting is not only about Clubrunner, but that the main focus will be discussion and Q & A about our Club and Rotary in general.  All members should attend!  Food details TBA.

Leslie advised that there is a new manager at the legion - Trudy.
