Editor: Two firsts in this issue: The TCT project is so significant I included the background Alex provided in the bulletin and the calendar. Project background: 2012 the Vision was cast (Rotary Music & Motion Event September 2012) to develop a Trail from Calgary to Canmore. This Trail would not only connect the Parks, it would also connect our 6 Communities.
After 3 years of discussions, meetings and a signed Agreement with the Stoney Nakoda Nation, the Rotary Club of Cochrane unanimously agreed (2015) to take on the immense project.
It would take another 6 years of meetings and relationship building to assemble a steering committee and officially launch the Trail Project November 2021.
Our collective goal is to have Stage One of The Trail (Calgary – Cochrane) completed for the 2025 Rotary International Conference in Calgary.
Charvi Shah gave us an excellent update on Rotaract activity in our district. Charvi also reported on the District Mentorship Program. Charvi leads this program, and is a mentee paired with Keith as mentor.
Her UCalgary Rotaract Club is participating in the Rotaract Canada fundraiser "Polar Plunge" on March 19. Participation and support from our members welcome.

We all had a great time participating in the Rotary Day of Service: The Secret 3K. The event was in support of empowering women and girls. The weather was over cast and a little cool but everyone enjoyed their 3k run or walk along the pathways of the Bow River in Cochrane.
Captain Kevin spearheaded and led the Roamin' Rotarians team on an enjoyable walk / run raising money for people in need. Rotarians Scott and Keith joined him. We were also joined by Lorelee Grattidge, Jackie Shier, and five members of Keith's family: Darcy and Claire Johnson with their children Nolan and Arnold, plus Wendy Kelly. Our team raised $600 from participants and online donors. Helping Hands raised $42,000. Nice. Click link for pictures and more info.

Indigenous Learning Opportunity
Many of you have expressed an interest in learning more about Indigenous history. Here’s an opportunity to do that, plus get in a bit of a road trip.
New Blood is the true story of a residential school survivor told through image, movement & dance, scored by the songs of Peter Gabriel and traditional Blackfoot music.
