Blessing of the Great Canadian Trail Thursday, July 7th 3:30 – 7:30
Cochrane RancheHouse
Our new Rotary International President Jennifer Jones will be on-hand for this powerful opportunity to bring our Rotary community together with Stony Nakoda First Nations, comprised of Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley Nations. Rotary is honoured to co-host along with the Town of Cochrane.
Join us to witness the blessing and naming of the Great Canadian Trail that connects Canadians, Rotarians, and Aboriginal communities nationwide. The event will be highlighted by a traditional pipe ceremony, after which Elders, Chiefs and select representatives will take part in a talking circle where they share their most important and profound stories about the land and their experiences.
The ceremony will feature traditional Stony Nakoda dancing, entertainment, a meal, and an amazing celebration of Rotary's engagement with the Stony Nakoda nation.
There is a limited availability of 100 guests, and the cost will be $75 per person.
