Trans-Canada Trail Project
2012 the Vision was cast (Rotary Music & Motion Event September 2012) to develop a Trail from Calgary to Canmore. This Trail would not only connect the Parks, it would also connect our 6 Communities.
After 3 years of discussions, meetings and a signed Agreement with the Stoney Nakoda Nation, the Rotary Club of Cochrane unanimously agreed (2015) to take on the immense project.
It would take another 6 years of meetings and relationship building to assemble a steering committee and officially launch the Trail Project November 2021.
Our collective goal is to have Stage One of The Trail (Calgary – Cochrane) completed for the 2025 Rotary International Conference in Calgary.
