What You Need to Know

The Dec 8th Meeting (TODAY) has been cancelled due to the Christmas Party on Dec 10th  
 
CLUB CHRISTMAS ZOOM PARTY- Dec 10 @ 7pm 
 
Join everyone online for a fun and festive visit! 
Please prepare what you can from the following list for the event: 
  • Christmas background on ZOOM
  • Christmas attire - sweater, hat, etc.
  • Have a drink available for a toast
  • Be prepared to share favourite Christmas memories and traditions

COOKIES
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup boiling water
2 cups quick cooking rolled oats (grind for a finer cookie)

Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar. Add vanilla.
Mix in Flour, soda, salt and oats alternately with water.
Roll thin, bake at 350F for 12 to 15 minutes

DATE FILLING
1/2 pound chopped dates (1 cup)
1/2 cup cold water
1 tbs brown sugar
Rind of one orange
1 tsp lemon juice

Cover and cook until and smooth.

Store the cookies and the filling separately. Sandwich the filling between 2 cookies and serve. Freezes well

Annual General Meeting
December 15 2020 @ 12pm
(during regular club meeting)

We will be reporting a Martin update and a combined 'all other club members' update each week at the meeting and in this weekly eBulletin.
Please provide your weekly accomplishments to Anita anita@mcdonaldpharm.ca by 4pm on Mondays.  
1 medium size acorn squash
2 tbsp of butter
4 tbsp of brown sugar
1 tsp of cinnamon 
1/4 tsp of salt
 
Cut squash in half and remove seeds. Spread butter equally on the inside of both halves. 
Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and salt together. Sprinkle equally on both halves. 
Place squash, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes at 400F.
