Trans-Canada Trail Update - May 8th
Both TCT Project Co-Chairs attended. Alex gave us a great walk-through on TCT history, project development and stakeholder involvement. He reported on the current status and plans for moving forward. 
 
Dan Kroffatt, the other Co-Chair, spoke about the project and reported on several upcoming events.

After about 2 years of pandemic conditions, Julian and Earl came in person. Julian was enthusiastic in carrying out Sergeant duties.
 
Earl brought a special piggy bank that was given to him years ago by the First National Bank of Alaska. The piggy bank was completely full of coins which Earl had contributed his happy bucks and sheriff fines into for Zoom meetings. Thank-you Earl for your donation of $200.

Hurray! Another Secret 3K run/walk
 
March 8 at Glenbow Elementary School
Glenbow Elementary students with Martin about to participate in the run/walk.
Both Martin and Sue participated with the Staff and Students.
Over 100 staff and students took part and raised $300.

Rotaract fundraiser
On March 19th, 2022, District 5360 Rotaractors, District Governor Martin Parnell, Past District Governor Christine Rendell, and Rotaractors from across Canada will jump into cold, Canadian waters (AKA the deep end of the Village Square Leisure Center pool).
 

All guests are welcome to plunge with us, or you can just hang out in the Event Lounge Room!

Indigenous Learning Opportunity
Many of you have expressed an interest in learning more about Indigenous history.  Here’s an opportunity to do that, plus get in a bit of a road trip.
 
New Blood is the true story of a residential school survivor told through image, movement & dance, scored by the songs of Peter Gabriel and traditional Blackfoot music. This incredible piece of theatre has played to wide acclaim across Alberta, and is now coming to Rosebud featuring RSA students & performers from Siksika Nation.
